Monotheismus
- Ein-Gott Glaube - kann gefährlich werden, wenn Glaubende
sich als alleinige Besitzer der Wahrheit verstehen. Heilige
Kriege können dann mit der Begründung, die Wahrheit zu
verteidigen, geführt werden. Gerechtfertigt ist dann auch
eine „gewalttätige Mission“, weil sie ja
unkundigen Ungläubigen die wahre Botschaft vom Heil gebracht
werden .
In
diesem Buch unterscheidet Nordhofen diese Seiten des Monotheismus
vom ursprünglichen „Monotheismus der Vorenthaltung“
in der biblischen Tradition. Er spricht von einer überraschend
aktuellen „anarchischen Kraft“ des biblischen Glauben
für unsere Zeit.
Nordhofen
ist es wichtig, die Geschichte der „Gottesmedien“
Bild und Schrift (schriftliche Botschaft in „Heiligen
Büchern“) bis zu dem entscheidenden Medienwechsel, den
Jesus darüber hinaus vollzieht, aufzuzeigen: Mit der
Botschaft Jesu ist – anders als vor ihm - die Möglichkeit
gegeben, dass sich der (jeder) Mensch selbst zum „Gottesmedium“
machen kann. Er wird zum „Gottesmedium“ im Blick auf
einen Gott, der sich jeder voreiligen Festlegung entzieht. Dies
ist bekannt als „negative Theologie“, die davon
ausgeht, dass man Gott nicht mit menschlicher Sprache festlegen
kann. Nordhofen spricht lieber von „privativer
Theologie“: „In diesem Buch soll an vielen
Beispielen gezeigt werden, dass die Vorstellung von einem
einzigen Gott von Anfang an vom Gedanken der Vorenthaltung
(privatio) gekennzeichnet ist. Deshalb ist terminologisch der
Ausdruck „privative Theologie“, der traditionellen
Rede von „negativer Theologie“ vorzuziehen, denn das
Proprium der der biblischen Theologie ist ja nicht einfach
negativ. Im Gegenteil. Die Singularität des Einzigen besteht
darin, dass er sich durch das Tetragramm JHWH 'Ich bin da' als
ein Sonderfall von Wirklichkeit darstellt“ (S. 20).
In
der Arbeit an dieser Analyse findet und analysiert er einen
schweren Fehler in der Übersetzung des „Vater unser“
( Gemeint ist nicht die aktuelle Debatte um „Führe uns
nicht in Versuchung“.) Nordhofen hält die
Vaterunserbitte „Unser tägliches Brot gib uns heute“
für falsch übersetzt. In Kapitel X ( Kapitel X: Die
vierte Bitte: Das neue Gottesmedium) führt er aus, dass
es Jesus bei dieser Vater-unser-Bitte nicht um die tägliche
Ernährung des Menschen geht - wie in seiner Darstellung
übrigens schon zur Zeit der Kirchenväter durchaus auch
von Theologen schon gesehen.
